<p>The invention relates to a microsatellite in the 5' UTR region of the glutaminase gene and to methods for the prognosis of hepatic encephalopathy in patients suffering from a hepatic illness, from the number of repeats in said microsatellite. The invention also relates to a method for designing a personalised therapy for patients suffering from hepatic illnesses, using a microsatellite located in the 5' UTR of the GLS gene.</p> |
