<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous secondary battery having a high capacity and moreover a high safety in emergencies due to over-charging or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous secondary battery includes a cathode, electrolyte, and an explosion-proof valve for preventing explosion of a battery which opens and breaks by an inner pressure increase and exhausts gas out of the battery and prevents explosion of the battery.
