<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display device and an information display system capable of selecting a content by the user information and making it easy to view information about the content, without the need of separately registering user information for selecting the obtaining information, and without separately providing a database for storing the user information. <P>SOLUTION: A notebook computer 100 (information display device) includes: a display part 11 for displaying a screen saver image 6 having user information and a browser region 7 which is arranged so as to be superposed on the screen saver image 6 and on which an image different from the screen saver image 6 can be displayed; and a control part 15 for making the display part 11 display the screen saver image 6 and the browser region 7.
