<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synchronize clock frequency of relay devices in an Ethernet with saving buffers. <P>SOLUTION: A method of adjusting reference clock frequency includes: an interval length detection step of arrival packets, to detect the interval length between packets which arrive from a transmission-side device 3 arranged upstream of a relay device 2; an interval length detection step of transmission packets, to detect the interval length between packets which are transmitted to a receiving-side device 4 arranged downstream of the relay device 2; and a clock adjustment step of adjusting the reference clock frequency of the relay device 2 corresponding to the difference between the packet interval length detected by processing at the interval length detection step of arrival packets and the packet interval length detected by processing at the interval length detection step of transmission packets. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
