<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of suppressing the misregistration of an image on a transfer medium, regardless of the thickness of the image. <P>SOLUTION: The first information on the position of an image is obtained, on the basis of detecting the image developed with a liquid developing material supplied to a developing roller by rotating a supply roller at a first velocity.
