<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing liquid for ink-jet recording which sufficiently suppresses curling of a recording medium and to provide an ink-jet recording method using the processing liquid. <P>SOLUTION: Provided are (1) the processing liquid of the recording medium which, is used before ink is given to the recording medium in ink-jet recording, and contains water and alkyl pyrrolidone having a 8-12C alkyl group, (2) the processing liquid which is described in (1) and contains N-octyl-2-pyrrolidone as the alkyl pyrrolidone, and (3) the processing liquid which is described in (1) or (2) and contains at least one among alkyl alkanediol, dihydroxy dicarboxylic acid and dihydroxy tricarboxylic acid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
