<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a fuel cell which does not use a carbon carrier, and can achieve a desired catalyst metal amount per unit area, electrode thickness, and porosity. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the electrode for a fuel cell includes a first process for manufacturing fine particles formed by mixing catalyst metal and polymer electrolyte, a second process for mixing the fine particles and polymer electrolyte with a soluble solvent and manufacturing catalyst paste in which a surface of the fine particle is dissolved, a third process for manufacturing an original catalyst layer by forming the catalyst paste in a sheet shape, and a fourth process for forming a porous electrode for a fuel cell by stretching the original catalyst layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
