<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast system capable of more surely executing the efficient acquisition of program information in a broadcast receiver. <P>SOLUTION: In the digital broadcast system, a broadcast transmitter 10 generates program information including transmission stop information indicating a transmission stop period for stopping the transmission of the program information in a program information generation part 13, and transmits digital broadcast data, for which a program content and the program information are multiplexed, by a transmission part 16. Also, the broadcast receiver acquires the transmission stop information from the digital broadcast data received by a tuner, determines the date and time for the acquisition of the program information on the basis of the acquired transmission stop information and a predetermined determination condition, receives the digital broadcast data at the determined date and time for the acquisition, and acquires the program information. The determination condition includes the condition of determining a time zone, which does not overlapping with the transmission stop period of the program information in any broadcast channel, as the date and time for the acquisition of the program information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
