PROTECTION MONITORING CIRCUIT, BATTERY PACK, SECONDARY BATTERY MONITOR CIRCUIT, AND PROTECTION CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a secondary battery monitoring circuit to operate a protecting function of a protecting circuit and inquire the operation state of the protecting circuit, and to transmit the operation state from the protecting circuit to the secondary battery monitor circuit.

SOLUTION: A protection monitoring circuit 101 includes a secondary battery monitoring circuit 120 for detecting the state of a chargeable/dischargeable secondary battery 110, and a protection circuit 130 for protecting the secondary battery 110 by exerting on/off control to a charge control transistor or a discharge control transistor which is arranged between the secondary battery 110 and a load or a charging device. The secondary battery monitoring circuit outputs a control signal, which forcibly turns on/off the charge control transistor or the discharge control transistor, to the protection circuit. The protection circuit 130 exerts on/off control to the charge control transistor or the discharge control transistor upon receiving the control signal.
