<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power management system for reducing wasteful energy consumption in a house without imposing a burden on a resident. <P>SOLUTION: The power management system includes: an appliance operation detecting means 13 for detecting whether electric appliances installed in a house operate or not; a target appliance storage means 14 for managing a plurality of electric appliances each having the same kind of functions as groups, and storing the target number of the electric appliances belonging to a group which are permitted to simultaneously operate, for each of the groups; a comparing/determining means 15 for detecting the operating electric appliances included in the same group for each of the groups by using the detecting means 13 and comparing the number of detected electric appliances with the target number of appliances corresponding to the group; and a notifying means 23 for notifying a user of a result of determination if the comparing/determining means 15 determines that the number of operating electric appliances exceeds the target number of appliances. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
