摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-plate frictional engagement device capable of moderating the generation of a drag torque between a center plate and a friction plate, and capable of preventing a surface property of a friction material from being varied. <P>SOLUTION: This multi-plate frictional engagement device is configured to set, on an outer circumferential side, an arrangement position of the friction material 41 provided on each surface of the first friction plate 4A and the third friction plate 4C, and to set, on an inner circumferential side, an arrangement position of the friction material 41 provided on the surface of the second friction plate 4B, and the arrangement positions of the friction material 41 are positioned not to be overlapped each other in an axial direction. Clearances between the respective friction plate 4A, 4B, 4C and respective separator plates 3A, 3B, 3C get uneven thereby to distribute the generation portions of frictional heat. Accordingly, the generation of the drag torque is eliminated to evade the surface property of the friction material 41 from being varied affected by the frictional heat. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
