PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for producing an antibody against an oxidation type polypeptide containing an oxidized sulfur-containing amino acid residue.

SOLUTION: This method for producing the antibody against the oxidation type polypeptide containing at least one oxidized sulfur-containing amino acid selected from the group consisting of cysteine sulfonic acid, salts thereof and methionine sulfoxide, includes administering a vector expressably recombined with a gene encoding the polypeptide or an expression product thereof to a mammal, and then obtaining the antibody against the oxidation type polypeptide from the mammal.
