<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device allowing improvement of operation feeling, even when performing a brake operation during execution of an automatic brake control, without adding special parts. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This brake control device includes an operation force increase detection means for detecting an increase of brake operation force, a reservoir 15 capable of storing brake fluid, a first passage 10 communicating a master cylinder M/C with a wheel cylinder 5 and provided with a gate-out valve 1, second passages (an intake passage 11 and a discharge passage 12) communicating the master cylinder M/C with the wheel cylinder 5 and provided with a pump P, a pressure reducing passage 13 communicating the wheel cylinder 5 with the reservoir 15 and provided with a pressure reducing valve 8, a scraping passage 14 communicating the reservoir 15 with an intake side of the pump P, and a gate-in valve 2 provided between the master cylinder M/C and the pump P in the second passages. When the increase of the operation force is detected, the pump P is driven, the gate-out valve 1 is closed, and the gate-in valve 2 and the pressure reducing valve are opened.
