<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking device simple in structure capable of supplying overheated steam into a cooking chamber without reducing the valid volume of the cooking chamber. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A steam heater 40 is embedded in a steam generating case 31, and the steam heater 40 generates steam based on the heating of water injected into the case 31. An overheating heater 41 is embedded in the case 31 to be positioned higher in level than the heater 40, the overheating heater 41 overheats steam in the course of ascending, and the steam overheated by the heater 41 is released into the cooking chamber 4 through a steam port 42 of the case 31. In this structure, a fan device for supplying steam to the heater 41 is dispensed with.
