<p>Provided are a differentiation inducing culture medium, an additive and a method to induce differentiation from mammalian somatic stem cells into cells that have bone cell characteristics in a serum-free or low-serum culture medium. The culture medium to induce differentiation from mammalian somatic stem cells into bone cells comprises a base medium for growing mammalian cells, an agent to induce differentiation from mammalian somatic stem cells into bone cells, a ligand for an endothelial cell differentiation gene (Edg) family receptor, and selenium, and is serum free or low serum. The method for inducing differentiation from somatic stem cells into bone cells comprises growing somatic stem cells that can be differentiated into bone cells in the culture medium.</p> |
