PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device which suppresses overheating of a rear wheel turning device without providing the rear wheel turning device with a temperature detection means. SOLUTION: In the vehicle control device, an electric power-steering device drives a front wheel motor in accordance with an amount of steering by a driver and provides a steering mechanism of the vehicle with steering assistance force. The rear wheel turning device drives a rear wheel motor 68 and turns the rear wheel. A temperature sensor 30 detects a temperature of a front wheel motor 28. The rear wheel turning device has an EPS-ECU 56 that controls carrying of electricity to the rear wheel motor 68. The EPS-ECU 56 derives an amount of electricity carried to a rear wheel driving mechanism based on an output of the temperature sensor 30, and limits the amount of electricity carried to the rear wheel motor 68 when the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 30 exceeds a first predetermined value.
