<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet friction plate capable of preventing the durability from lowering, improving the discharging performance of an oil liquid, and also capable of preventing a torque from being transmitted when a clutch is released. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A friction plate 100 includes a segment structure in which a plurality of friction members 20 are arranged on a surface of a disc-shaped core plate 10 in a circle at intervals with each other. Each friction member 20 contains a part in which a first member 21 into which the oil liquid easily penetrates, and a second member 22 into which the oil liquid less penetrates than the first member are alternatively and repeatedly laminated. A portion having the first member 21 exposed and a portion having the second member 22 exposed are repeatedly arranged in a circumferential direction of the friction plate 100 in the friction surface in contact with an opposite side engagement element.
