PURPOSE: A knife type cutting apparatus is provided to reduce the man-hours of a cutting process by installing a press unit at the center of a drive unit and cutting a thin metal while the thin metal is fixed. CONSTITUTION: A knife type cutting apparatus comprises a drive unit(111), a moving block(112), a blade(114), a press body, a cutting block, and a cutting blade. The drive unit is pressed in the cutting direction. The moving block moves with the drive unit. The blade is arranged to face each other. The press body is coupled with the moving block through an elastic body. The cutting block places material on the cutting point of a blade. The cutting blade is placed on the location corresponding to the blade. The cutting blade cuts materials with the blade.
