摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device having V-T characteristics agreeing substantially in a transmission display region and a reflection display region. <P>SOLUTION: This liquid crystal device 1 is provided with a first substrate 10 and a second substrate 11 arranged by opposing to each other through a liquid crystal layer 50, a first electrode formed on a liquid crystal layer side of the first substrate 10, and a second electrode 22 opposing to the first electrode 21 through a dielectric layer 34. Either of the first electrode 21 and the second electrode 22 has a plurality of belt-like electrode parts 27 extended at the predetermined interval 28 therebetween. This liquid crystal device 1 has the transmission display region T and the reflection display region R in one pixel region. Width L of electrode in the belt-like electrode part 27 in the reflection display region R is smaller than width L of electrode in the belt-like electrode part 28 in the transmission display region T, thickness (d) of cell in the liquid crystal layer 50 in the reflection display region R is smaller than thickness (d) of cell in the transmission display region T, and the dielectric layer 34 in the reflection display region R is thinner than the dielectric layer 34 in the transmission display region T. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
