PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system which effectively uses a hardware resource for improved usability. SOLUTION: The image processing system at least includes a first image processing apparatus (printer PR1) equipped with at least a first information display means (first operation panel 100) that displays information about apparatus itself, a second image processing apparatus (scanner SC1) which is equipped with at least a second information display means (second information panel 200) that displays information about apparatus itself and is connected to the first image processing apparatus, acquiring means (acquiring parts 101 and 201) for acquiring information about display function, selecting means (selecting parts 102 and 202) for selecting a first display means or second display means according to the acquisition result, and control means (control parts 104 and 204) for controlling display of information about apparatus as a display means which shares a first display means or a second display means selected by the selecting means.
