<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the stable lifting movement capable of surely holding even to longitudinal, lateral and torsional directional force generated in a counterweight body, when lifting the counterweight body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A roller guide shoe 13 for guiding the counterweight body 12 by engaging with a pair of right-left guide rails 11 erected in laterally parallel in a hoistway of an elevator, has a first guide part of juxtaposing a pair of guide rollers 13a and 13b on a side surface of the counterweight body 12, and a second guide part of juxtaposing a pair of guide rollers 13c and 13d so that a rotational surface becomes substantially parallel to the side surface of the counterweight body 12. When liftably moving the counterweight body 12, the pair of guide rollers 13a and 13b of the first guide part are rolled in the vertical direction on a surface of a bottom surface part 11a of a guide rail 11, and the pair of guide rollers 13c and 13d of the second guide part are rolled in the vertical direction on a side surface of a flanged leg part 11b of the guide rail 11, and are guided by regulating the movement in the longitudinal, lateral and torsional direction of the counterweight body 12.
