PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ballast tank and liquefied gas carrying vessel capable of preventing deterioration of riding comfort during ballast navigation and preventing increase of weight of a hull. SOLUTION: This ballast tank includes a plurality of pairs of gunwale side tanks 41 arranged to be opposed to port and starboard sides in the hull 2, at intervals in a bow and stern direction, into/from which ballast water is injected and discharged, and a connection tank 42 for connecting at least a pair of gunwale side tanks 41 arranged in port and starboard, of the plurality of pairs of gunwale side tanks 41, so that the ballast water may flow therethrough.
