PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lever float type drain trap capable of setting off fluid pressure acting on a valve element, without leaking gas, to open and close a large valve port. SOLUTION: An inlet 1, a valve chest 6 and an outlet 2 are formed in a casing comprising a body 3 and a lid body 4, and a valve seat 7 with an opened valve port 9 communicating the valve chest 6 with the outlet 2 is formed in a lower part of the valve chest 6. A lever 16 is provided to be rotatable around a swinging shaft 15 supported in an inside of the valve chest 6, a float 17 floating up and down in response to a liquid level in the valve chest 6 is connected to the lever 16, and a valve element 12 for opening and closing the valve port 9 seated onto the valve seat 7 is connected to the lever 16. The valve seat 7 has a cylindrical shape, and is constituted to open both ends thereof to the valve chest 6, and to communicate a periphery thereof with the outlet 2 by a discharge hole 8, and the valve element 12 has a cylindrical shape, and is constituted to open one end thereof and close the other end by a wall member 13, to open and close the valve port 9 in one end opening side of the valve seat 7, by an annular valve face 14 in the one end opening side, and to slide an outer circumference in a wall member 13 side of the other end air-tightly on a sliding 10 in an inner circumference in the other opening side of the valve seat 7.
