PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output device capable of correctly outputting color space information when image data is generated. SOLUTION: A CPU 31 of a color printer 20 performs gamma correction and a matrix operation M on RGB color space image data derived by a matrix operation S. The CPU 31 uses a set gamma correction value to perform gamma conversion processing to the image data. The matrix operation M converts the RGB color space to an XYZ-system color space. When performing the matrix operation M, in order to reflect the color space when the image data is generated, the CPU 31 refers to a PrintMatching tag and uses a matrix (M) corresponding to a written color space to perform the matrix operation.
