<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing apparatus achieving power saving without increasing cost. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A body ECU (Electronic Control Unit) operates in one of a normal mode and a power-saving mode with power consumption smaller than the normal mode, transfers to the normal mode at a prescribed period (8 ms) when operating in the power-saving mode, and detects ON/OFF of a switch. When eco setting is performed, the body ECU transfers to the normal model, and changes a period for detecting the ON/OFF of the switch into a period (16 ms) longer than the prescribed period (8 ms).
