<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weatherstrip and a method for installing the same, capable of reducing a burden of installation work of a worker, by easily performing installation to a mating installation surface. <P>SOLUTION: An adhesive surface 9 is arranged on an installation base 5, and a double-sided adhesive tape 10 is installed on the adhesive surface 9. The installation base 5 is adhered and fixed to a vehicle body panel 7 via the double-sided adhesive tape 10. A hollow part 11 is arranged on the back side of the adhesive surface of the installation base 5, and the area between the adhesive surface 9 and the hollow part 11 among the installation base 5, is formed as an adhesive wall 12 made of a softer member than the other part of the installation base 5. Air is introduced into the hollow part 11, and the adhesive wall 12 is deformed outside, and the double-sided adhesive tape 10 is press-fitted to the vehicle body panel 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
