摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system for an internal combustion engine with a supercharger by which while preventing degradation of fuel efficiency, overheating of an exhaust-gas purifying catalyst can be restrained. SOLUTION: A control means for an internal combustion engine 1 includes: a turbocharger 5; the exhaust-gas purifying catalyst 7 provided downstream of a turbine 5b of the turbocharger 5; an EGR passage 10 which connects an exhaust passage 4 upstream of the turbine 5b to an intake passage 3, and is provided with an EGR cooler 11; and a first bypass passage 8 which connects a section upstream of the turbine 5b in the exhaust passage 4 to the section between the turbine 5b and the exhaust-gas purifying catalyst 7, and is opened/closed by a waste-gate valve 9. The control means is further provided with: a second bypass passage 14 connecting the EGR passage 10 on the intake passage 3 side from the EGR cooler 11 to the exhaust passage 4 between the turbine 5b and the exhaust-gas purifying catalyst 7; and an exhaust-gas control valve 16 which opens/closes the second bypass passage 14.
