<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic motor in which an operator can optionally change a braking force. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A hydraulic motor 100 includes a relief valve 2 (communicating valve) which is arranged in a bypass channel 53 and opens when a hydraulic pressure of first supplying/discharging channel 51 becomes an operating pressure or more, a biasing spring 22 which is arranged in a back pressure chamber 21 of the relief valve 2 and biases the relief valve 2 toward a blocking direction, a piston 23 which can bias the biasing spring 22 toward a contracting direction, a pressing chamber 24 partitioned by the piston 23 independent of the back pressure chamber 21, and a brake controlling mechanism 12 delivers a brake controlling pressure set by the operator.
