PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of efficiently sending information needed for driving support to a vehicle. SOLUTION: When a vehicle enters an infrastructure reception area, an infrastructure device (communication device) obtains the history number N of the vehicle's infrastructure reception with respect to the same infrastructure device, and determines the content of road linear information according to the history number N. In this case, the content of the road linear information is changed depending on the history number N so that when the history number N is zero, the minimal necessary road linear information is provided; when the history number N is not zero, detailed road linear information is provided. The infrastructure device determines the granularity of signal cycle information matching the level of road linear information, and sends the road linear information and the signal cycle information to the vehicle as infrastructure information.
