A network security system for a thin client system where client terminals are connected by a network to remote machines to execute business processing, wherein a remote machine infected by a virus is quarantined from the network by instruction from the user of a client terminal while the minimum communication settings needed for business processing are maintained. That is, a request issuing agent issues a request for quarantine in response to user input and a request executing agent changes the communication settings of the remote machine in response to the quarantine request. Further, the network settings relating to the remote machine may be changed by the administration server with reference to a disconnection setting file which stores in advance the minimum communication settings of the remote machine in a state where the remote machine is quarantined from the network. |
