PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the lowering of an exhaust gas performance while securing the operating stability of an engine after the automatic re-startup. SOLUTION: This temperature increasing control device of an exhaust gas air-fuel ratio sensor includes temperature increasing means 28A, 29A for increasing the temperatures of exhaust gas air-fuel ratio sensors 28, 29, an automatic stop/re-startup means 41 for automatically stopping and automatically re-starting up the engine, an exhaust system temperature index value estimating means 42 for estimating an exhaust system temperature index value CT which is correlated to the temperatures of the exhaust systems, a temperature index value correction means 44 for subtraction-correcting the exhaust system temperature index value CT while the engine is automatically stopped, and a temperature increasing control means 44 for controlling the temperature increasing means 28A, 29A.
