<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless terminal device and a method of reselection control in the wireless terminal device set up to enable a user to utilize a broadcast short message service effectively. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The wireless terminal device is provided with a communication part 11 selecting one of a plurality of communication systems and enabling wireless communication with a base station, and a control part 17 having a reselection processing means, wherein the reselection processing means monitors a signal strength in the communication system being used by the communication part 11, releases the communication system being used by the communication part based on a relation between the signal strength and a preset threshold, and then performs control to reselect any of the plurality of communication systems as a communication part. Upon receiving urgent information based on broadcast information from a waiting base station in the communication part 11, the control part 17 alters the predetermined threshold.
