<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitance sensor capable of correcting an error resulting from a misalignment of an electrode. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The capacitance sensor 100, which detects values of capacitance accumulated between a movable electrode 12 and a first fixed electrode 11A and a second fixed electrode 11B, includes: a detecting means for detecting respective absolute values of capacitance between a fixed electrode 14 and the first fixed electrode, and between the fixed electrode and the second fixed electrode; and a compensating means 30 for compensating sensitivity varied with the misalignment of the electrode, by multiplying the sensitivity by a value proportional to the inverse number of the absolute value of capacitance.
