<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the abrasion powder generated in a vibration motor from flying around. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An optical instrument has first cylinders 204, 206 and a second cylinder 205 provided inside the first cylinder, both composing the lens barrel; a vibrator 2A3 arranged in the lens barrel between the first cylinder and the second cylinder and vibrated by the electrical-mechanical energy convertor element; a vibration motor including a rotor 2A6 turning in contact with the vibrator; and a dust proofing component 2A11 which is arranged at a position facing the contact area of the vibrator and the rotor inside the lens barrel and having an outermost diameter D1 larger than the innermost diameter D2 of the contact area.
