摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the usage of a pH adjuster in inhibition of corrosion caused in a boiler device by the use of the pH adjuster. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for inhibiting corrosion in a boiler 2 using the pH adjuster in the boiler device 1 includes a measurement step of measuring a total carbonic acid concentration of supply water in a water supply passage 10 of a water supply part 3 at fixed time intervals; a feed rate determination step of determining, based on the measurement result in the measuring step, the feed rate of the pH adjuster; and a pH adjuster supply step of supplying, based on the feed rate determined in the feed rate determination step, the pH adjuster to the water supply part 3. The measurement interval in the measuring step can be adjusted according to the measurement value of total carbonic acid. In the feed rate determination step, further, an optimum feed rate to inhibit the corrosion of the boiler 2 is calculated considering alkali generated from the supply water containing total carbonic acid through thermal decomposition, whereby the feed rate of the pH adjuster can be adjusted by eliminating the waste of feed of the pH adjuster.
