A mobile terminal includes a recording unit configured to record television broadcast program; a first extracting unit configured to extract caption information from each of the television broadcast programs; a storage unit configured to store the caption information extracted by the first extracting unit for each of the television broadcast programs recorded by the recording unit; and a display unit configured to, when displaying a list of the programs recorded by the recording unit, display the caption information of each recorded television programs stored by the storage unit. The mobile terminal, is capable of displaying a list of programs recorded that allows users to identify the contents of the programs in detail even on a small display screen by extracting distinctive textual information about each of the recorded programs from textural information such as caption information contained in the programs. |
