The method involves providing an electrical semiconductor circuit (1) with an electrical source (2). A bridge circuit (3) is controlled by using a control cycle such that a load circuit is formed for operating a load (4). A free-wheel circuit is formed directly after forming the load circuit, and the bridge circuit is controlled by using another control cycle such that the load circuit is reformed. Another free-wheel circuit is formed directly after reforming the load circuit, where the latter free-wheel circuit is different from the former free-wheel circuit. The load is designed as a brushless direct current motor.
