<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that restrains initial developer from being excessively discharged from a discharge port even if developer accumulates on one side in a developing device and the height of the surface of the developer partially increases. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes: a developing chamber 41a serving as a first chamber that can store developer; an agitating chamber 41b connecting to the first chamber, thereby forming a circulation path for developer circulation, and serving as a second chamber that can store the developer; a second agitating conveyance screw 41e serving as a conveying means for conveying developer in the first and second chambers; a supply port for supplying the developer which has toner and carrier, to the second chamber; the developer discharge port 43a formed in the second chamber, for discharging the developer; and a regulating plate 48 the lower end of which is set higher in level than at least the lower end of the discharge port and which serves as a regulating member for regulating the height of the surface of the developer flowing in the second chamber toward the discharge port. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
