PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor with a low ESR (equivalent series resistance) and an excelling connection rigidity between an element and a terminal. SOLUTION: The solid electrolytic capacitor has a capacitor element with a dielectric film and a negative layer formed sequentially on the surface of a positive member, and a platy terminal mounted on the capacitor element via a conductive adhesive layer. The conductive adhesive includes a flat conductive member and has a region with the flat conductive member laid along the platy terminal, and a region, with the flat conductive member being erected in the thickness direction of the conductive adhesive layer.
