<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary lock for a door with an extremely low possibility of a user being tricked and locked in a room. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The auxiliary lock for the door is configured to make a hinged door 9 free to open/close when a part of the whole of a lock 3 comes off an opening/closing locus of the hinged door 9. The lock 3 is composed of a lock plug 30 mounted to an outdoor portion of a plate part 2 extending from a clearance portion between a door frame 8 and the hinged door 9 to the outside of the room, and a code lock body 31. In the unlocked state, a peripheral groove part 30a of the lock plug 30 and a protruding part 31a of the code lock body 31 are in a locked state and prevented from being separated.
