PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor and a case for the capacitor hardly causing electric shock even when a potential is applied to the case, and to provide a capacitor element. SOLUTION: The capacitor 1 includes the capacitor element 6 constituted by winding an anode foil 20 and a cathode foil 21 with a separator 22 interposed therebetween, and the case 2 with a bottom portion 8 which contains the capacitor element 6, wherein a conductor connected to at least part of an end of the cathode foil 21 or the cathode foil 21 protrudes from ends of the anode foil 20 and separator 22 toward the bottom portion of the case 2.
