PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine, effectively updating the value of one counter even when the counter is updated using two or more control means separately. Ž
SOLUTION: An IY register for counting the initial value of a random number counter for determining a jackpot is not only updated periodically in an INT interrupt processing (Fig.8, not shown), but also constantly updated by "+1" in the main processing (shown in Fig.5), using the residual time of the INT interrupt processing. Since this residual time varies with the control state of a game, the value of the IY register is surely updated and given with randomness to be used as the initial value for updating the random number counter. Although the IY register is updated by two different kinds of processing, that is, the main processing and the INT interrupt processing, the updating is performed in response to one instruction, so that updating result can be effectively utilized without making the updating meaningless regardless of execution timing of both kinds of processing.
