<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main-rope support which is reduced in weight of a main-rope support body and has a stress concentration section provided to the support body without forming either rugged parts or recessed parts on the side of the main-rope support body. <P>SOLUTION: The main-rope support includes the support body, a main-rope retaining fitting mounted to the upper end of the support body, and a fixing member for being fixed to the flange of a steel beam.
