PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device and an inkjet recording method which can uniformize the using frequency of nozzles in a recording head while suppressing the reduction of throughput to the minimum. SOLUTION: In the case where specified nozzles N1, N3, N5, N7 repeat the discharge of inks continuous for a prescribed time or above, in accordance with the period at which the transportation amount of a recording medium is made larger than a prescribed amount, the specified nozzles are changed to N9, N11, N13, N15 and N17, N19, N21, N23.
