<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip that reliably prevents a gap from being formed in a trim. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The weather strip 5 includes a trim portion 11 having a substantially U-shaped cross section and a sealing portion 15 projecting from the trim portion 11. The trim portion 11 and the sealing portion 15 are both made of a sponge EPDM. Furthermore, an insert 17 made of a metal is buried in the trim portion 11 along the longitudinal direction. A groove 41 that is cut to the outer surface of the insert 17 is continuously formed on the trim portion 11 along the longitudinal direction of the trim portion 11, and a clogging portion 43 that fills the groove 41 is formed on the trim protion 11 along the longitudinal direction. The groove 41 is formed in extrusion process, and the clogging portion 43 is formed by filling the groove 41 with a resin material and solidifying the resin material after a vulcanization process.
