PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus enabling a user to intuitively and quantitatively evaluate the number of photographed subject images. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a present date and time information obtaining means to obtain present date-time information at a time performing a present photographing operation; a last photographing time recording means to record last date-time information at a time performing a last photographing operation; an image number counting means to compare the present date-time information obtained by the present date and time information obtaining means with the last date-time information recorded by the last photographing time recording means at a time performing photographing operation, and to newly start to count a number of photographed subject images when the two pieces of date-time information are not within a predetermined period, and to continuously count the number of photographed subject images when the two pieces of date-time information are within the predetermined period; and a displaying means to display the number of photographed subject images, which is counted by the image number counting means, in a predetermined display format on an exit screen displayed when the power of the imaging apparatus is turned off.
