摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately compensate for errors caused by deflection of a weighing platform. SOLUTION: A columnar strain element 102 constituting a load cell 100 supports the weighing platform 160 constituting a truck scale 150. When a load W is applied to the strain element 102 via the weighing platform 160, the load cell 100 including the strain element 102 generates a load detection signal W' according to the load W. When the weighing platform 160 is deflected to tilt the strain element 102, a bending strain occurs in the strain element 102, and a bending strain error E occurs in the load detection signal W' according to the magnitude and direction of the bending strain. When the contact surface 162 of the weighing platform 160 with the strain element 102 becomes not horizontal, a load-receiving-plane tilt error E' caused by this occurs in the load detection signal W'. Only the function of compensating bending strain errors E is conventionally provided, but this technique also includes the function of compensating for load-receiving-plane tilt errors E'.
