PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater control device controlling a heater of an air-fuel ratio sensor in a vehicle internal combustion engine system, wherein operation of an internal combustion engine is stopped intermittently, with lower power consumption. SOLUTION: The heater control device controlling the heater of the air-fuel ratio sensor decides whether supply of electric power to the heater is continued during stopping operation of the internal combustion or supply of electric power to the heater is stopped during stopping operation of the internal combustion engine (steps S105-S107) for lowering power consumption, based on an operation stopping time prediction result of the internal combustion engine (step S104).
