The method involves the use of a combustion chamber (2) handling apparatus (7)which is controlled by an operating person and is connected with a grating (4) and a lateral filling shaft (5), which on the under side is connected with a loading aperture (6) to the combustion chamber. The free surfaces of the cladding are sand-blasted and provided with a new cladding. The repair and renewal process is observed via a video camera. An independent claim is also included for the handling apparatus.
