PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the smelling failure of a smell caused by the respiration of a measuring person while reducing the load of the measuring person. SOLUTION: A sample gas continuously supplied after a component is separated by a column is accumulated in a syringe 11 while a valve 13 is closed. If the syringe 11 is filled with the sample gas, a valve 15 is closed while the valve 13 is opened and a plunger 16a is drawn out to accumulate the sample gas, which flows into a sub-flow channel 8 through the syringe 11 and a splitter 6, in a syringe 16. If the sample gas is accumulated in the syringe 16 for a predetermined time, the valve 13 is closed while the valve 15 is opened to push in the plunger 16a and the sample gas is discharged from a smelling port 9. In a synchronizing relationship to the intermittent discharge of the sample gas, control unit 20 drives a respiration indicating part 21 in order to inform the measuring person of a discharging/discharge stopping period in real time. The measuring person performs respiration corresponding to this information of the discharging/discharge stopping period and certainly inhales the sample gas containing a non-leaked smell component to determine the sample gas.
